Kings Row Books

Kings Row Books has graced Haddonfield's Kings Highway since 1968, making it one of the longest-running independent bookstores in southern New Jersey. The shop occupies a restored eighteenth-century building whose creaking wooden floors and exposed beams give every visit a sense of stepping back in time. The historical fiction and biography sections are the store's crown jewels, curated with the same care a museum gives its permanent collection. Upstairs, a rare books room houses first editions of American classics and signed volumes from twentieth-century authors, attracting collectors from Philadelphia and beyond. The children's section downstairs is a favorite of Haddonfield families, and the store's annual holiday book fair is a tradition that has run without interruption for over fifty years.
